Swan Hill College technology department provides a comprehensive range of courses that build skill and training in a range of industry areas
Year 7 and 8 technology classes are designed for a hands on approach to learning covering a wide range of skills and techniques in the wood and metal working fields. Topics covered include workplace safety, hand tool identification, wood characteristics and design and construction procedures.
Year 9 and 10 technology classes offer a variety of subjects for students to pursue different career options and pathways using current industry standards and equipment.
Each subject includes both theory and practical elements providing a holistic approach to hands on learning.
Senior technology provides meaningful and engaging programs to stimulate interest and help students develop their knowledge and practical skills in each of our subject areas. Students are given an excellent understanding of the work environment and are equipped with the skills to evaluate potential career options and pathways, with our Vocational Educational Training (VET) and Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE) subjects.
